Dods and dens

One of the more annoying aspects of the ever-expanding nanny state, which is but one item on the left's agenda, is the ability of our leaders to pick the the most ridiculous and inconsequential acts to control. In case you missed it, over in England it's now against the law to sell goldfish to children. Younger folks may not remember it, but years ago goldfish attacked Britain and scared the politicians.

Of course, on the opposite end of the cultural spectrum, someone has now launched a new magazine for the blind. At first, this may seem a little weird, but with braille I guess many things are possible. I just didn't realize there was a market for pornography for the blind. I've been a fan of hands-on learning for years, but . .

If you don't read Drudge, you may have missed this. It seems a restaraunt got into a little trouble when offering meals seasoned with "salt and freshly ground black people". Me, I've never been a fan of salt.

Do not however, think that strange things are happening only in England. Here in the good old USA, land of the free and home of the brave, a middle school child has now been arrested and labeled a terrorist for pretending to use her hand as a gun. I know nothing about the teacher's qualifications, but if she did indeed "fear for her life", I know all I need to about her common sense.

Apparently though, if an agenda is pushed long enough and hard enough, belief will follow. Considering the stranglehold the left has on academia, it should be no wonder that only 60% of us believe that capitalism is better than socialism. No doubt the percentage will continue to drop.

I learned just today that our president has signed one more comprehensive agreement. I've not generally been a fan of his other agreements, but you have to read this one - it could change the world!

But fear not! I found - finally! - one item that gives me hope. Actually it's not an item, it's a picture. Perhaps you younger folks are not yet completely doomed.
